Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where is this conference happening and how do I get my ticket?

At the Campbell River Community Centre in downtown Campbell River, located at 401-11th Avenue.

2. Where can I park at the Campbell River Community Centre?

There is parking at the Community Center and wheelchair accessible parking directly on the East side of the building. There is free parking at the Tyee Plaza 2 blocks away. Please note that the street parking in this area is often only 1 to 2 hours maximum.

3. Will you have presentations online if I cannot attend in person?

Yes, on the North Island Menopause Conference – Empowering women through transition , you can find an option to buy with “streaming online” so that you can join wherever you are in the world! Please note that the live stream will only be available to view up to 48 hours after our event (in the evening on Monday, November 10).

We cannot facilitate purchases for online viewing after Saturday, November 8.

4. I registered to participate in the conference online. When will I get access?

The link for the livestream will be sent 2 weeks before the start of the conference. Please check your spam folders if you cannot find it, and you can reach out to us if you don’t receive it by Saturday, October 25.

5. Will I need to bring lunch?

We recommend trying one of the many restaurants within walking distance in downtown Campbell River, or bringing lunch to enjoy outside (such as at the beautiful oceanside Robert Osler Park) or in the Lounge at the Community Centre.

6. Is there water available on site?

Yes. Please bring your water bottle– there’s a water bottle fill station in the hallway at the Community Centre.

7. Can I attend for just part of the day? If so, can I get a partial day ticket?

Unfortunately, we’re not able to accommodate partial day tickets.

8. Are men welcome? Can I bring a male partner or husband?

Yes, the more people who learn about menopause, the better our community will be!

9. Are 2SLGBTQ+ folks welcome?

Yes of course. We do recognize that some of our conference information will be more cisgender focused and that our speakers may not necessarily have the language or expertise dealing with people who are transitioning and other situations which may be beneficial to consider menopause education, we are definitely welcoming. We do want to include more diverse information in future as well to hopefully be more 2SLGBTQ+ friendly.

10. I’m interested in connecting directly with one of the speakers– how can I reach them?

Visit our 2025 Speakers – North Island Menopause Conference page as there’s information about each speaker’s offices/businesses etcetera.

11. I have accessibility concerns about the Community Centre and whether I can participate. How do I address these?

The Community Centre is a wheelchair accessible facility. Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide ASL services. If you have further accessibility questions, please do not hesitate to contact us as we do want to try to make it so that you can attend.

12. I can no longer make it and would like to get a refund for my ticket.
